This is me presenting my work at an exhibition in Stavanger, Norway.
Hello there!
My name is Nathalie Toennessen and I`m a Graphic Designer based in a small town called Egersund, Norway.
I am a multidisciplinary designer with a passion for branding and UX design. I love all forms of creativity. My dream is to make designs that can bring about positive social and environmental impact and change the world. My core values are originality, imagination, flexibility, and devotion.
As a young child, I loved all aspects within design. I loved running home after school, just to get a chance to be creative and work on my projects. When I got older, I realized that this is something I want to work with.
I started my creative education at Noroff in Stavanger, Norway in 2020. I moved to Melbourne, Australia to complete my Bachelor of Design and Visual Communication at Deakin University. At Noroff, I was awarded a commendation for the “Ford Rekord.” visual identity and music design.
During my studies, I completed two internships. At Okse in Stavanger, Norway I was part of a collaborative team to develop a cooking app for children. While at Deakin, I completed a 10-week internship with Musubi, a leading branding agency. Here I gained foundational knowledge in brand strategy and identity design. It was a great learning opportunity, especially as an international student.
Another passion of mine is traveling and on my journeys, I love to experience other cultures, languages, food, and design practices. Traveling around the world is a valuable experience for me as I get a broader understanding of the world and can implement this in my designs.
